Hearing Aids – By Price
Hearing Solution Center offers competitive pricing on products from the top hearing aid manufacturers including Widex, Siemens, Unitron, Oticon, Starkey and Phonak. Other names (Miracle Ear, Beltone, Hear USA, Audibel and NuEar) are offered under their primary manufacturer (e.g. Miracle Ear and Hear USA=Siemens, Audibel and NuEar=Starkey). Hearing Solution Center participates with many popular insurance plans, including Medicare. The following services will be filed with insurance when utilized and once benefits are confirmed:
- Hearing evaluations are $115.00 and are filed with your insurance company if there are medical reasons for your hearing loss ( diabetes, hypothyroidism, chronic renal disease, heart and vascular problems, ototoxic medicines, noise exposure, etc.), if you have had a recent change in your hearing loss or ears, or if you have never had your hearing tested in the past. Check with your doctor, insurer or Hearing Solution Center if you have further questions.
- Hearing aids range in price from $715 to $2800. per aid. This cost represents the single-unit cost of the aid itself. The price range is based upon differences in technology. Your total hearing aid cost equals the cost of the hearing aid plus the cost of the professional fee. The hearing aid cost is refundable if you opt to return the hearing aid at the end of the trial period.
- Professional fee of $500. per hearing aid includes
- Hearing aid evaluation and selection
- Programming of the hearing instrument
- Fitting and Orientation of the hearing aid
- 4 sessions of aural rehabilitation (within first year)
- 30-day trial period that includes any necessary programming and adjustments
- Two follow-up appointments within the 45-day adjustment period
- Minimum one-year manufacturer repair warranty
- Minimum one-year loss and damage warranty*
- Our professional fee applies if you purchased your hearing aids elsewhere and request that Hearing Solution Center assist you with the fitting. We may need to assess your hearing (at a cost of $115) to determine the appropriateness of amplification purchased elsewhere.
- The Hearing Solution Center participates with many popular insurance plans, including Medicare.
- We assist you in verifying an insurance coverage, as well as bill your insurer for the hearing aids and professional fee as allowed by the insurance plan and coverage. We do our best to notify you of your expected out of pocket expenses and financial responsibility prior to the hearing aid fitting. We file claims on your behalf to your insurance carrier.
- Once you have accepted the hearing aid, you will have the option to purchase a service plan or pay for service and appointments as your needs arise.
- Our Service Plan options include:
- 1, 2 or 3 year in office service packages available at $225 for one aid or $350 for two aids per year OR
- Pay as you go for office service needs at $80. per each 30 minute appointment.
- * A $400 manufacturer loss and damage deductible will apply.
- The Service Plan would include:
- Hearing aid trouble-shooting
- Clean and check appointments
- Hearing aid reprogramming
- In-house repairs
- Processing of manufacturer repairs
- Service plans may be purchased by hearing aid users who have purchased their hearing aid elsewhere.
- These service plan options are typically not payable by insurance and are typically the responsibility of the patient.
